I work in mixed media: watercolor, gouache, acrylic, ink and spices. I contrast creating a smooth, tapering line with losing the sharpness of the edge all together. I layer pools and splashes of color to create form and composition. My intention is a push and pull of elements on the canvas: some portions move to the front of the picture while others recede to the back.
